Objective East Bay EDA's mission is to establish the East Bay region, consisting of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, as a world recognized location to grow business, attract capital and create quality jobs. East Bay EDA accomplishes this mission by augmenting and supporting existing city, county and private economic development efforts and implementing area-wide programs and services.

Term (Seats) The term for each individual Board member shall be established by the respective appointing authority, so long as the organizational Board Member is in good standing with the East Bay EDA.
Meetings The East Bay EDA Board of Directors will meet at least three times a year: 1st Friday in January, 1st Friday in May and September & as needed (retreats)
Qualifications Each business, organization or entity at the Board membership contribution level set by the Executive Committee shall choose a person to vote and to be listed as its official representative. Each City member in good standing may have its Mayor and City Manager or Economic Development Director serve on the Board of Directors. Alternates may be appointed to serve at the pleasure of the designated appointee. Each Special District that is an East Bay EDA Member in good standing and is current on the designated membership fee set by the County District Association may have a representative on the Board of Directors. Each County's Board of Supervisors that has made a financial contribution to East Bay EDA shall appoint County Supervisor representatives.
Appointments Alameda County has authority to appoint County Supervisor representatives.
