Section 17.54.130 Conditional uses.

    Certain uses, referred to in this title as conditional uses, are hereby declared to possess characteristics which require special review and appraisal in each instance, in order to determine whether or not the use (A) is required by the public need, (B) whether the use will be properly related to other land uses and transportation and service facilities in the vicinity, (C) whether or not the use if permitted will under all the circumstances and conditions of the particular case, materially affect adversely the health or safety of persons residing or working in the vicinity, or be materially detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to property or improvements in the neighborhood, and (D) whether or not the use will be contrary to the specific intent clauses or performance standards established for the district, in which it is to be located. A use in any district which is listed, explicitly or by reference, as a conditional use in the district’ s regulations, or in Section 17.52.580 shall be approved or disapproved as to zoning only upon filing an application in proper form and in accordance with the procedure governing such uses set forth hereinafter.
