Upon receipt in proper form of any application for a variance, for a conditional use, for a cluster permit, or a cluster permit preliminary plan, or for a determination relative to whether a use is nonconforming or for a determination as to whether a use is illegal or should be abated by the building official, the date for the public hearing thereon shall be set. At least one public hearing shall be held on each such application by the agency designated to receive it. Notice of the time and place of each such hearing shall be given as is required by the Government Code of the state. Where the hearing is on a proposed amendment, Sections 17.54.750 and 17.54.760 shall control. (Prior gen. code § 8-101.0)
