Every person who buries, deposits, or inters, or causes or permits to be buried, deposited or interred, any dead body of a human being in that certain graveyard and cemetery immediately adjoining St. Joseph’ s Catholic Church, situated in the unincorporated town of Mission San Jose, county of Alameda, is guilty of a misdemeanor. Upon conviction he shall be punished by a fine not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00); and if the fine is not paid, then by imprisonment in the county jail at the rate of one day for every two dollars ($2.00) of the fine.
