Section 6.40.490 Granting of license and permit.

    The county health officer shall make an investigation and inspection of the proposed hog farm site and of the facts set forth in the application. If the county health officer finds that the applicant will in fact comply with all the requirements of this article and with Title 17, Zoning, of this code, and that the hog operations will be conducted in such a manner as to accomplish the objects and purpose of this chapter he shall issue a license and permit for such site, subject to such reasonable conditions and limitations as are required under the circumstances of the particular operation, showing the number of the permit and the calendar year for which issued. The permittee shall display in a conspicuous place on the hog farm site the license issued therefor.
    The board of supervisors hereby grants a license and permit for the year ending December 31, 1954 covering each hog farm site in the unincorporated territory of the county which has been in continuous operation for at least sixty (60) days immediately preceding the date of enactment of this chapter; provided, however, that such license and permit shall be subject to revocation after notice and hearing as provided in Article VII of this chapter, for failure to comply with the requirements of this article, or for willful failure or refusal to furnish the county health officer with the plan and report of operations required by Section 6.40.470 within a reasonable time after demand in writing that same be filed in his office.
