Chapter 6.68 RESTAURANTS AND BAKERIES
Section 6.68.060 Imminent health hazard.
Notwithstanding the other provisions of this chapter, whenever
the health officer finds
insanitary or other conditions in a restaurant or bakery which, in his judgment, constitute an
imminent and substantial hazard to the public health, he may without prior notice issue a written
notification to the permittee citing such insanitary or other conditions specifying the corrective
action to be taken, and order all food service operations to be immediately discontinued. Any
permittee to which such an order is issued shall comply immediately therewith, but upon written
petition to the health officer, shall be afforded a hearing within five days. (Prior gen. code § 3-170.5)
