The indexes for birth, death, and marriage records are available to the public during regular office hours. You will need to present a government-issued ID (Driver's license or passport), which will be held while you are searching the indexes.

Due to changes in State Law, the vital records indexes are no longer available online.
- In Person
You may come to the Clerk-Recorder's Office during normal business hours and search the vital record indexes.
Birth and death records are available starting in 1880 which show the name of the certificate holder, the event date, and the city of the event. Marriage records are available from 1854 to present.
If you request to view a record, the fee for any search of birth files and birth records is $19.00. The fee for death records is $14.00 and marriage records is $15.00. The fee must be paid in advance regardless of whether the certificate is found or not.
