Mortgage Credit Certificate Program
An MCC provides the income eligible buyer with an opportunity to reduce the amount of federal income tax otherwise due. This effectively assists a family in qualifying for a higher first mortgage, with no effect on monthly expenses.
If you are a current MCC Holder, and you want to refinance your existing mortgage, contact a participating lender. Please note that you must use a participating lender in order to continue to receive the tax benefits of your MCC. If you do not use a participating lender, you are not qualified for a Refinance MCC (11Kb) If you are a non MCC Lender, and would like to apply for participation status, fill out the MCC Lender Participation Agreement (23Kb) . Once you have filled out the application, please mail the original, along with your participation fee to MCC Program, 224 W.
