Current Cannabis Retail RFP - July 2021

The County of Alameda has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit applications for a Cannabis Retail Operations Permit (CROP), with a schedule that requires proposals undergo a two-step process to receive an award. The RFP itself is linked below and has more detail and the submittal requirements. Important to note: The County will only be issuing one permit as a result of this RFP, either in Castro Valley or the South Livermore Valley Plan Area. These areas were selected as a result of recent changes to the County code to allow "boutique" type of Cannabis Retail that may be more appropriate in certain areas of the unincorporated County. The RFP requires responses in two parts, Exhibit B is due first (July 30th, 2021) and Exhibit A is due second (August 16th, 2021).
