Overview

The goals of the Redevelopment Strategic Plan are to construct a development strategy and urban design that will define a vision and the future economic potential for downtown Castro Valley and help to prioritize spending of redevelopment dollars. The Plan was adopted by the Redevelopment Agency Board of Directors in December 2006.

The objectives are to create:

a downtown where people want to go and spend time;
an environment that will support economic vitality;
a pedestrian friendly main street atmosphere
