Introduction: The Family Child Care Coalition was founded in 2004 and represents eight family child care associations throughout Alameda County. The Coalition is dedicated to educating our communities, local businesses and legislators about the contributions and challenges of the family child care industry’s workforce and the families and children they serve. Accomplishments of the Coalition include a Family Child Care Media and Advocacy Training Project and Toolkit and a Family Child Care Visibility Tour.
