Stay Healthy - Follow Public Health Officer Advice
We know that this has been a week of change for all of us, adjusting to the Shelter in Place Orders issued by County Health Officers and the Governor. We appreciate everyone doing their part to promote a healthy workplace while we continue to provide essential services to our residents.
As we continue to monitor the rapidly evolving situation with COVID-19, the safety and well-being of our County family is paramount. In these unprecedented times, it is important that we come together to support one another, and those affected in our communities. Please make sure you take care of your health and wellbeing and reach out to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) if you need assistance.
Please remember that as County and public employees, we should be vigilant against acts of prejudice toward employees or clients/residents based on fear of this new virus. If you experience or witness harassment in the workplace, you are encouraged to tell someone - a supervisor or your agency/departmental personnel officer.
These are stressful times, and many of us or our family members may be overwhelmed with fear and anxiety about the unknown. Remember to breathe, exercise, and find other resources that may help you make decisions during this time. The CDC offers resources and tips for managing stress and anxiety, and the County Public Health website also includes resources for community and providers.
As we navigate this unchartered territory together, our leadership team will continue to provide you with updated information and guidance to keep you and your family healthy and safe. We are committed to the safety and well-being of our employees. Take care of yourself and your family.
Finally, please see the attached reminders of the steps you can take, and the County is taking, to help protect yourself and others. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please call your agency/departmental personnel officer.
