Flood Control Zone 7

Zone 7 comprises:

  • Livermore
  • Pleasanton
  • Dublin
  • Adjacent, unincorporated areas of eastern Alameda County

Zone 7 was formed in 1957 to address regional flooding and water supplies. In 1960, construction began on water treatment facilities to serve the area as well as drainage and flood control facilities.

In 1978, Zone 7 created its own staff, outside the Flood Control District, to carry out programs initiated by its own seven-member Board of Directors. Zone 7 Water Agency now bears the responsibility for Zone 7's flood control.
