Alameda County Citizens Academy

Welcome to the Alameda County Citizen’s Academy application page.

The Alameda County Citizens Academy is open to people who live, work or own businesses in Alameda County. The Academy consist of six Wednesday, three hour sessions 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. held at various locations in Alameda County. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis with consideration given to geographic location to ensure representation of all five Board of Supervisors districts. Maximum class size is 60 people.

The sessions are as follows:

Session 1 - September 04 : Alameda County Overview & Vision 2026
Session 2 - September 18 : Safe & Livable Communities - Public Safety and First Response
Session 3 - October 02 : Safe & Livable Communities - Law and Justice
Session 4 - October 16 : Prosperous & Vibrant Economy - Economic Vitality, Security & Support
Session 5 - October 23 : Thriving & Resilient Population - Caring for Our Citizens
Session 6 - October 30 : 10X Goals & You - Empowering the Community, and Graduation Ceremony

*To graduate participants MUST complete five of the six scheduled sessions.
