Objective To prepare two lists of properties for acquisition in fee or permanent easement, one for each of the geographic areas of concern. The priority lists shall give first priority to acquisition of property having significant value for preservation of native biological diversity and/or wildlife habitat and second priority to acquisition of property having significant value for visual character and/or non-motorized recreation. The Committee shall also prepare proposed allocations of funds in the Open Space Account for expenditure during the upcoming year from each of the proposed priority lists.

Qualifications All members shall be residents of Alameda County.
Appointments Committee is comprised of 4 members: 1 member appointed by the Board of Supervisors, 1 member appointed by the Livermore City Council, 1 member appointed by the Pleasanton City Council and 1 member appointed by the Sierra Club. A representative of the City of Dublin may participate as a non-voting member. Must adhere to the BOS 12 year appointment rule.
