Term (Seats) |
Each member of the Board of directors shall serve a term of four (4) years, and shall be qualified to be reappointed/re-elected, to two additional terms. The maximum number of years a member can serve on the Board of Directors whether consecutive or interrupted is twelve (12). |
Meetings |
Meetings of the Board shall be held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Association office or other sites as determined by the Board. |
Qualifications |
Any resident of Alameda County who is 18 years of age or older may be elected or appointed to serve as a Director. Whether elected or appointed, a Director's status as a Director immediately terminates once the Director is no longer a resident of Alameda County. It shall be in the discretion of the Board of Directors to determine the criteria and procedure for election of new and replacement Directors for the eleven (11) Directors elected by the Board, but special consideration shall be given to: (i) special expertise required by the Board of Directors, and (ii) representation from all geographic areas of Alameda County. |
Appointments |
Membership of the Board of Directors shall be twenty-one (21) Directors. Eleven (11) of the Directors shall be elected by the existing Board of Directors and ten (10) Directors shall be appointed by the members of the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. |
