HIV/AIDS Housing
Information and Referrals
Alameda County contracts with Eden I&R to run the Aids Housing and Information Project (AHIP) to provide Information and Referral services to the HIV/AIDS community about affordable and emergency housing opportunities. The program has been in place since the early 1990's and serves between 250-400 clients a year.
AHIP works closely with AIDS service organizations and case manager through Alameda County to serve people living with HIV/AIDS and their families and caregivers. The AHIP Coordinator assess needs, makes appropriate referrals to housing and social services, and will follow up to ensure the needs are addressed. For more information please visit the
