Request for Proposals (RFP's)


The County has recently released an RFP seeking proposals for a cannabis retail operation in Castro Valley or the South Livermore Valley Area Plan (SLVPA). The current cannabis retail RFP is available below. Applications are due to be submitted by 7/30/2021 (Exhibit B) and 8/16/2021 (Exhibit A).

In late 2017, the County completed the Request for Proposals (RFP) process for cultivation and retail permits on sites in the East County pursuant to Chapters 6.106 and 6.108 of the Alameda County Ordinance Code. These permits have been issued, and the successful applicants now need to apply for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) and State licenses prior to commencing operation.
