Temporary Modified Work

Alameda County recognizes the value of all its employees and the importance of providing temporary modified work assignments for employees to return to productive employment as early as possible. The County is committed to making a reasonable effort to provide temporary modified work assignments to employees who may be temporarily unable to perform their essential job functions due to industrial/non-industrial injuries, illnesses, disabilities and/or medical conditions.

Employees released to work with temporary work restrictions/limitations are required to contact their supervisor immediately. More detailed information can be found in the County's Temporary Modified Work Policy and Procedures (as outlined below) Employee may also contact their Agency/Department Human Resource Office/Disability Coordinator for specific information.
