The Alameda County Medication Education and Safety Disposal (MEDS) Coalition originated in 2008 from the Alameda County Senior Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD) Workgroup. We are a diverse group of stakeholders including Alameda county older adult residents, Alameda County Office of Education, Teleosis Institute, CommPre, a program of Horizon Services, Inc., Castro Valley Community Action Network, United Seniors of Oakland and Alameda County, Alameda County Senior Injury Prevention Partnership, Alameda County Household Hazardous Waste Agency, Alameda County Sheriff's Office, Alameda Health Care Services Agency, Eden Township Healthcare District, Davis Street Resource Center, East Bay Municipal Utility District, Union Sanitary District, Castro Valley Sanitary District, Alameda County Water Districts, and Alameda County Supervisor Nate Miley.
