What is Twitter???

Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send updates (a.k.a. tweets) via text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length to their subscribers (a.k.a followers).

Twitter is being used much like an e-mail blast subscription to update followers about news and events. Twitter will also be used by the County when there is an emergency or road closure that impacts the County and its residents.
