History of the Building

Built in 1932, the Hayward Veterans' Memorial Building reflects the historic nature of downtown Hayward.

With over 12,000 square feet on two floors, HVMB offers unique rooms of varying sizes, available separately or in combination. It's the perfect setting for your next event or social gathering.

Full of warmth and elegance, Army Hall comfortably seats 248 guests: Accommodating 340 for dancing. Attention to detail abounds with a dramatic 40-foot ceiling beautifully restored to its original 1930's "Ballroom Era" grandeur.
