Affordable Housing Production Policies
As part of the Housing Element, Alameda County committed to developing an Inclusionary Zoning policy. Inclusionary zoning, also known as inclusionary housing, requires market-rate developments to provide affordable housing or otherwise contribute to affordable housing development. At this time Alameda County does not require any contributions to affordable housing from market-rate developments.
